We have announced that we will provide minimum wage with the most successful 20.000 young people who prefer textile engineering, 70% of the minimum wage for those between 20 and 50.000, and 50% of the minimum wage for the rest between 50 and 80.000. While in 2018, only 42% of the quotas were filled, this year, this reached up to 92% according to the first applications.”

100% QUOTA IN LEATHER ENGINEERING

Mustafa Şenocak, President of Istanbul Leather and Leather Products Exporters Association (İDMİB), who pointed out that the leather engineering quota was completely filled, said: “We believe that qualified labor force will provide the most important added value to the sector. In this context, we aimed to bring successful students to our sector. We promised employment support at the end of the scholarship project in which we ensure up to 100% of minimum wage and trainings. The leather engineering department, which has been unable to fill its quota for many years, has recently filled 100% of its quota. In addition to this increase in preferences, the base and ceiling scores of the department also boosted significantly.”
